A fix to the Import URL feature in the content editor.
What it does
Long articles now import reliably, falling back to a simpler extraction method if the AI cleanup step takes too long instead of failing outright.
Why it matters
Previously, importing a long article could hang and eventually fail with a confusing server error, forcing a retry or manual copy-paste.
How it works
The AI cleanup step now has a fixed time budget, and if it runs out, WriteWorks automatically falls back to a deterministic extraction of the article content. If an import still times out, a clear message is shown instead of a generic error.
How to use it
- Open the content editor and choose Import URL.
- Paste the link to the article, including long ones.
- Review the imported content, which now loads reliably even for lengthy pages.
