What's new

The AI Builder is a chat-based assistant that sits inside the Agents area of the Builder. Instead of assembling an agent step by step, you tell it the outcome you're after — a goal, a schedule, an output — and it composes a complete agent for you. Each reply comes back as an updated, ready-to-apply plan you can load with a single click.

Behind the scenes, your messages go to Claude, which builds the agent using only the real building blocks available in your WriteWorks account. That's an important distinction: it doesn't invent tools or steps that don't exist. What it proposes is something you can actually run.

Who it's for

This update lowers the barrier to automating real work, so it's especially useful if you:

  • Know the result you want but aren't sure how agents are wired together.
  • Want to spin up a routine task quickly without clicking through every setting.
  • Prefer to describe an outcome and refine it, rather than build from a blank canvas.

1. Open the Builder and choose AI Builder. You'll find it in the Agents area.

2. Describe what you want the agent to achieve. Be specific about the goal, any schedule it should follow, and the output you expect. For example: "Every Monday, check where our brand appears in AI Overviews for our top ten keywords and summarise the changes."

3. Keep chatting to refine it. Ask for tweaks in plain language until the plan looks right, then click Create & open to load the agent into the builder.

From there, everything works as it always has. You can inspect each step, adjust settings manually, and run or schedule the agent whenever you're ready.

Tips for a better first result

  • State the outcome and the trigger together — what should happen, and when.
  • Mention the output format you want if you have a preference, such as a summary or an alert.
  • Treat the first draft as a starting point. A quick follow-up message usually gets you closer than trying to describe everything at once.
