Google Search Console integration
The queries you already earn impressions for are the cleanest list of what your buyers ask. The Google Search Console integration brings them into WriteWorks so classic search demand and AI search visibility sit on the same rows.
What the Google Search Console integration is
The Search Console connection is read-only. WriteWorks reads the query, page, position, impression and click data your property already reports, and writes nothing back to Google.
It exists because AI visibility on its own is a score with no denominator. A prompt you are losing matters more when the equivalent query already sends you thousands of impressions, and matters less when nobody searches it. Search Console supplies that weighting.
What you can do with it
Four questions the two data sets answer together that neither answers alone.
Every query a page earns impressions for is matched against the prompts WriteWorks tracks across AI platforms, so you can see where you rank in one and vanish in the other.
A page on the first results page that no engine mentions is the clearest brief on the site: the authority exists, the answer is not being read back.
Impressions decide which citation gaps are worth the work. Opportunities are ranked by the demand behind them rather than by how loud the gap looks.
When a brief ships, impressions, position and AI citations move on one timeline, so you can see which one responded and how long it took.
How the Google Search Console integration works
About a minute to connect, and nothing to maintain afterwards.
Connect your Google account
Open Settings, then Integrations, and choose Google Search Console. Google asks you to sign in and approve read access. WriteWorks never sees your password, and access can be revoked from your Google account at any time.
Pick the property
Choose which verified property this brand should read from. Domain and URL-prefix properties both work, and each brand in WriteWorks connects its own.
WriteWorks joins queries to prompts
Your queries are matched against the prompts already tracked across AI platforms, and your pages against the URLs engines cite, so the two data sets line up page by page.
Work the gaps in order
High impressions with no citation rise to the top of Opportunities. Each one carries the query, the page and what an engine currently answers instead.
Who uses the Google Search Console integration
The same connection answers a different question depending on who is asking.
Keep the ranking data you already trust, and see for the first time which of those rankings an answer engine is quietly reading past.
Briefs that start from real impressions rather than a keyword tool's estimate, with the page that already ranks named as the thing to fix.
One number for discovery: what search sends you, what AI engines say about you, and which pages carry both.
Connect each client's own property, keep data separated by brand, and report search and AI visibility from a single source.
You bring your own account. The Google Search Console integration authenticates with your own account at Google Search Console, on your own plan and your own quota. WriteWorks reads the data that account already has access to, and nothing else. Disconnect at any time and the stored credential is deleted.
