What the Slack integration is
The Slack connection posts messages to channels you choose. Scheduled reports, competitor movements, new citations and lost ones arrive as posts rather than as a page somebody has to remember to open.
WriteWorks reads nothing from your conversations. The permission it asks for is to post to the channels you nominate, which is the smallest access that makes delivery work.

How the Slack integration works

Connect Slack
Open Settings, then Integrations, and choose Slack. Authorise the workspace and approve the permission to post.
Pick the channels
Choose which channel each kind of message goes to: alerts, scheduled reports, or a specific brand's updates.
Choose what is worth interrupting for
Set the thresholds that make something an alert, so the channel carries signal rather than every small movement.
Act from the message
Each post carries the prompt, the engine, what changed and a link to the detail, so the next step is obvious.
