Claude and MCP clients integration

Your visibility data should answer questions, not just render charts. WriteWorks runs an MCP server, so Claude and any other MCP client can query prompts, citations and competitor gaps directly.

What it is

What the Claude and MCP clients integration is

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is how an assistant is given tools it can call. WriteWorks exposes its own data through an MCP server, so an assistant can look up your tracked prompts, citation history, competitor coverage and content performance while you talk to it.

The difference from a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard is that the assistant is yours. It runs where you already work, keeps the rest of your context, and can combine WriteWorks data with everything else it has access to.

What it does

What you can do with it

Four questions the two data sets answer together that neither answers alone.

Which prompts did we lose this month, and to whom, answered from your own data rather than a general impression.

How it works

How the Claude and MCP clients integration works

About a minute to connect, and nothing to maintain afterwards.

1

Create an MCP token

In WriteWorks, open Settings, then Integrations, and create a token for MCP access. It is scoped to your organisation and can be revoked at any time.

2

Add the server to your client

In Claude, Claude Code or another MCP client, add the WriteWorks server URL and your token.

3

Ask a question

Query prompts, citations, competitors and content performance directly in conversation.

4

Act on the answer

Turn what you find into a brief or a tracked prompt without leaving the assistant.

Who it is for

Who uses the Claude and MCP clients integration

The same connection answers a different question depending on who is asking.

Ask the awkward question the day before the board meeting and get an answer from your own data.

You bring your own account. The Claude and MCP clients integration authenticates with your own account at Claude and MCP clients, on your own plan and your own quota. WriteWorks reads the data that account already has access to, and nothing else. Disconnect at any time and the stored credential is deleted.
