Parallel integration

Some questions take longer than a search. The Parallel integration hands deep research and enrichment tasks to a service built for them, and returns a structured answer with its sources.

What it is

What the Parallel integration is

Parallel runs research tasks that would time out inside a chat: reading many sources, comparing them, and returning something structured. WriteWorks calls it with your own key when a task is bigger than a single search.

In practice this is how a competitive landscape, a market summary or an enriched list of accounts gets built without a person spending a day on it, and the result arrives as data the rest of the platform can use.

What it does

What you can do with it

Four questions the two data sets answer together that neither answers alone.

Long tasks run outside the request cycle and report back when they are done, so depth is not limited by a timeout.

How it works

How the Parallel integration works

About a minute to connect, and nothing to maintain afterwards.

1

Create a Parallel API key

Sign up for Parallel and create a key. Tasks run on your account and your budget.

2

Add the key to WriteWorks

Open Settings, then Integrations, and choose Parallel. Paste the key, which is stored encrypted.

3

Send a task

Deep research and enrichment tasks are handed to Parallel from WriteWorks, with the fields you want back defined up front.

4

Use the result as data

Structured output lands back in WriteWorks, ready to sort, filter and drop into a brief or report.

Who it is for

Who uses the Parallel integration

The same connection answers a different question depending on who is asking.

Ask a question that needs twenty sources read, and get a structured answer rather than a paragraph.

You bring your own account. The Parallel integration authenticates with your own account at Parallel, on your own plan and your own quota. WriteWorks reads the data that account already has access to, and nothing else. Disconnect at any time and the stored credential is deleted.

FAQ

Parallel integration FAQs

The questions teams ask before connecting it.

What does the Parallel integration do?+
It hands deep research and data-enrichment tasks from WriteWorks to Parallel using your own key, and brings back structured, sourced results.
Do I need my own Parallel account?+
Yes. Tasks run on your key and are billed to your account.
How is this different from Tavily or Exa?+
Those are search providers that answer in seconds. Parallel runs longer tasks that read and compare many sources, and returns structured output rather than results to read.
How do I connect Parallel to WriteWorks?+
Create an API key in Parallel, then open Settings, Integrations, choose Parallel and paste it in.
How long does a task take?+
Longer than a search and shorter than a person. Tasks run in the background and notify WriteWorks when they finish, so nothing is blocked while one runs.
What happens if I disconnect it?+
The stored key is deleted and no new tasks are sent. Results already returned stay in WriteWorks.
