The starting point: the businesses were there, the markup wasn't
Fhresh is a marketplace for booking hair, beauty, wellness and fitness services across English-language locales and France. The pages people saw listed real businesses with reviews and prices. The structured data AI engines rely on to understand those businesses was either missing or only appeared after JavaScript ran.
What the AI Discoverability audit found
WriteWorks audited a sample of fhresh.com. The approximate readiness score was already excellent.
- Expected schema was missing on most key pages. Only 29% of the audited home, product, article, FAQ and category pages carried the schema expected for their type.
- Business markup needed JavaScript. LocalBusiness and AggregateRating appeared only after rendering on every audited homepage, and none carried Organization markup.
- Category pages didn't list their businesses. None of the audited category and city pages carried an ItemList of the businesses or services on the page.
- Listings were partly client-rendered. 84% of pages were fully readable without JavaScript; search and listing pages made up most of the rest.
- Speed and freshness. 72% of pages answered in under 0.8 seconds. No audited sitemap date reflected a real change, because every one was the day the sitemap was read, and the full llms.txt file returned the site's HTML page.
What changed after the fixes
- Resolved: Organization markup. Every audited homepage now carries complete Organization markup in its server HTML (0% → 100%).
- Improved: category pages. Category and city pages with an ItemList rose from 0% to 37%. The first markets are done, and the rest are next.
- Resolved: client-rendered listings. Pages fully readable without JavaScript rose from 84% to 98%. The search page now sends all of its content in the HTML.
- Resolved: sitemap dates and the full llms.txt. Audited sitemap dates that reflect a real change rose from 0% to 100%, and the full llms.txt is now a real file.
- Improved: speed. Pages answering in under 0.8 seconds rose from 72% to 98%, and the median server response is 2.2 times faster.
- Open: LocalBusiness. The homepages' LocalBusiness markup is still added by JavaScript, so moving it into the server HTML is next.
Overall, key pages carrying their expected schema doubled, from 29% to 58%.
How these numbers were measured
Before = the first WriteWorks AI Discoverability audit, after = the re-audit once the fixes were deployed, on the same pages with the same rules. Percentages are shares of the audited pages, not of every URL on the site. A fix is marked Resolved when the re-audit shows it fixed, Improved when it is partly fixed, and Open when nothing changed. Speed comparisons come from one vantage point and are indicative. AI platform coverage is the share of the AI platforms measured that cited the site, at the baseline and six months on: a timeline, not a claim about cause. Key pages are the audited home, product, article, FAQ and category pages.
