The starting point: readable, but not much to read

Kleepa is an influencer marketing platform connecting brands with influencers and UGC creators. Technically its site was strong: fully server-rendered, served from cache, every bot allowed. The issue was depth. Most pages, and especially the influencer directory that makes up most of the site, didn't say enough for an AI engine to quote or recommend.

What the AI Discoverability audit found

WriteWorks audited a sample of kleepa.com. The approximate readiness score was already excellent, because the checks that drive the score are mostly about access and rendering, which Kleepa got right.

  • Thin pages across the site. Only 36% of audited pages had 200 or more words of body text, even after rendering, so this was thin content rather than hidden content.
  • The directory was the core of it. None of the audited influencer directory pages reached 200 words, and the directory makes up most of the sitemap.
  • Little structured data. Only 39% of audited pages carried any schema, the directory pages carried none, and the homepage had no JSON-LD at all.
  • Smaller gaps. Only 8% of category pages carried ItemList, and some success-story articles lacked publish and modified dates.

What changed after the fixes

  • Resolved: thin directory pages. Directory pages with 200 or more words rose from 0% to 100%, and the typical directory page is now more than four times longer, all in the server HTML.
  • Resolved: schema coverage. Pages carrying schema rose from 39% to 99%, including every directory page, with CollectionPage and ItemList markup.
  • Resolved: category and article markup. Category pages with ItemList rose from 8% to 100%, every success story now carries publish and modified dates, and articles and FAQs with a dateModified went from 70% to 100%.
  • Improved: homepage markup. The homepage now carries Organization, WebSite and SoftwareApplication markup, up from no JSON-LD at all. The Organization has no sameAs links yet, so that part is still open.
  • Open: FAQ markup on the new FAQ sections. The new directory copy added FAQ sections. 49% of directory pages carry FAQPage markup for them; the rest are next.

Pages with 200 or more words across the site rose from 36% to 84%.

How these numbers were measured

Before = the first WriteWorks AI Discoverability audit, after = the re-audit once the fixes were deployed, on the same pages with the same rules. Percentages are shares of the audited pages, not of every URL on the site. A fix is marked Resolved when the re-audit shows it fixed, Improved when it is partly fixed, and Open when nothing changed. Speed comparisons come from one vantage point and are indicative. AI platform coverage is the share of the AI platforms measured that cited the site, at the baseline and six months on: a timeline, not a claim about cause. Word counts are body words after rendering.
