A GEO score is only useful if you can see what it is made of. The WriteWorks GEO score is an AI readiness score for your whole site, from 0 to 100, built from four weighted pillars and every indexable page in the latest crawl. Each point lost traces back to a named issue on a named page, so the score tells you what to fix as well as where you stand.

A number is only useful if you can trace it.
A single number from a black box is hard to act on and harder to defend when it drops.
An averaged score lets a hundred tag pages outweigh the five pages that earn your traffic.
Scores that count raw traffic or citations favour big brands and barely move when a smaller site improves.
Content ships and the task closes, but nobody re-checks whether the answer itself actually changed.
Pillars, page weights, your own baseline and one cap.
Bot access counts for 35%, machine readability for 30%, freshness signals for 15% and AI search performance for 20%. A pillar with nothing to measure yet is left out and the others re-balance, rather than scoring you zero for missing data.
Each page scores 100 per pillar and loses points for each issue it has. Pages are then weighted by their search clicks over the last 28 days, so the pages that matter move the score most.
AI search performance combines visibility in tracked AI answers (50%), AI referrals (30%) and AI bot hits (20%), each measured against your own best 28-day window in the last 90 days. It rewards improvement rather than size.
If more than half your indexable pages are blocked from every AI search bot, the score is capped at 40, however good the rest of the site is.

What each brand fixed, measured before and after with the same audit, in their own words.
“Not one of our influencer directory pages reached 200 words. Now 100% of them do, and the share of pages carrying schema jumped from 39% to 99%.”

The same score, built the same way, for every client site.
“We advise SaaS brands on AI search, so having every page of our own site built on request was a little awkward. We switched to cache-friendly HTML, cleaned up the heading order, repaired our broken FAQ blocks and trimmed the sitemap. On the re-audit, 87% of pages came straight from cache, up from 0%, and every guide was in heading order. Some of our insight articles are still slow, and they're next.”
