Content score for live pages

A content score for the pages you have already published

Drafts get scored in the editor. Your live site needs scoring too. WriteWorks lists every URL from your sitemap with AI crawler and citation data, and scores any published page from 0 to 100 on how ready it is to be cited by AI assistants, reading it the way a crawler does.

The challenge

Why live pages drift out of shape

Scored once, then forgotten, and sometimes unreadable to crawlers.

Published pages never get re-scored

Content is checked once before it goes live, then left. Months later nobody knows which live pages are still fit to be cited.

Crawlers may not see what visitors see

AI crawlers largely read raw HTML. A page that renders in the browser through JavaScript can look almost empty to them, and nothing in a normal analytics tool tells you.

Page data is scattered

Crawler hits, AI citations, tags and indexing requests live in different places, so reviewing one URL properly means four tabs.

Coverage is uneven across engines

Winning the answer on one assistant says nothing about the other nine your buyers actually ask.

The solution

How the page content score works

Fetch as a bot, score, check rendering, keep the page data together.

Pick a page from your sitemap and WriteWorks fetches it as a bot would, then scores it from 0 to 100 on clear answers, structure, factual specificity, entity clarity and self-contained passages, with up to five strengths and five improvements.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything teams typically ask before getting started.

What is a content score?+
A content score rates how well a page is likely to perform for a goal. The WriteWorks page content score rates published pages from 0 to 100 on how well they are optimised to be cited and used by AI assistants.
How is this different from the optimisation lenses in the editor?+
The optimisation lenses score drafts as you write them in the WriteWorks editor. The page content score scores pages that are already live on your site, fetched from your sitemap, so you can audit what is published as well as what is being written.
Is this a content optimization tool?+
It is the measurement side for live pages: it scores them and lists specific improvements. To make the changes, open the page in the WriteWorks editor, where the optimisation lenses score the rewrite as you work.
Why fetch the page as a bot?+
AI crawlers largely read the raw HTML a server returns, before JavaScript runs. Scoring that version shows what the engines can actually read, which can differ sharply from what a visitor sees.
Which plans include it?+
Page-level crawler analytics, the render check and the content score are available on Growth and Enterprise plans.
