AI knowledge base

An AI knowledge base that keeps every draft factual

AI models know a lot about the world and very little about your products. WriteWorks lets your team upload brand documents, such as product sheets, FAQs, policies and style guides, once per brand. The text is extracted and used by the content editor and Ask AI, so answers and drafts come from your facts instead of guesses.

The challenge

Why AI gets your product wrong

A model cannot write accurately about what it has never seen.

AI fills knowledge gaps with guesses

Ask a general-purpose model about your pricing, features or policies and it will produce something plausible. Plausible is not the same as correct, and a wrong product claim is expensive to publish.

Product knowledge is scattered

The facts writers need live in product sheets, sales decks, help articles and people's heads. None of it is where the drafting happens.

Everyone works from a different copy

When reference material sits in personal drives, each writer and each AI prompt uses a different version, and terminology drifts from draft to draft.

Third parties hold the citation

Roundups, reviews and forums are quoted ahead of your own pages, and nothing tells you which source displaced you.

The solution

How the WriteWorks knowledge base works

A shared document library, read by the editor and by Ask AI.

Upload product sheets, FAQs, policies and style guides from the knowledge area. Documents are stored per brand on the WriteWorks servers and shared with everyone working on that brand, so the whole team and the AI work from the same source.

Frequently asked questions

Everything teams typically ask before getting started.

What is an AI knowledge base?+
An AI knowledge base is a collection of your own documents that an AI model can draw on when it answers or writes, so its output reflects your information rather than only what the model learned in training. It is a simple form of grounding, sometimes called retrieval-augmented generation.
What should I put in my brand knowledge base?+
Anything a writer would need to get the facts right: product and feature sheets, pricing notes, FAQs, policies, help articles, approved claims and style guides. Keep each document focused and current, and remove files that are out of date.
Which file types can I upload?+
PDF, Word (.docx), Markdown and TXT, up to 5MB each. Older .doc files are not supported, so save them as .docx first. Scanned PDFs with no text layer cannot be read and are rejected with a message when you upload them.
Can my whole team use the documents?+
Yes. Documents are stored per brand and shared with everyone working on that brand, so the content editor and Ask AI use the same library whoever is writing.
How is a knowledge base different from the brand profile?+
The brand profile describes the brand: identity, voice, audience, goals, personas and rules. The knowledge base holds the detail the brand profile cannot, such as product specifications and FAQs. WriteWorks uses both when it writes.
