CRO audit

Find the pages that get traffic but leak conversions

Your biggest conversion wins are usually on pages that already get visitors. WriteWorks reads your GA4 data, flags the pages with above-median sessions and below-median conversion rate, and turns each one into a conversion-focused brief measured against your own site's benchmarks.

The challenge

Why conversion leaks go unnoticed

Reports show the numbers but not the outliers.

Landing page analytics stops at the report

GA4 will tell you sessions and conversions per page. It will not tell you which pages are underperforming against the rest of your site, or what to change on them.

Traffic wins hide conversion losses

A page that doubles its visitors looks like a success, even when its conversion rate has collapsed. Without a baseline, the leak goes unnoticed.

CRO advice is generic

Best-practice checklists and industry averages say little about your audience. A target worth aiming at comes from the middle of your own site.

Answers shift week to week

The same buyer question returns a different set of sources each week, so a one-off audit is stale before the fix ships.

The solution

How the CRO audit works

Compare against your own medians, scan the page, brief the fix.

Every scan compares each page against your site's own medians. Pages with above-median sessions and a below-median conversion rate are flagged and ranked, so the leaks with the most visitors surface first.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything teams typically ask before getting started.

What is a CRO audit?+
A conversion rate optimisation (CRO) audit reviews your pages to find where visitors drop off instead of converting, and what to change to fix it. WriteWorks automates the finding part by flagging pages whose conversion rate is below your site's median despite above-median traffic.
How does WriteWorks decide a page converts poorly?+
It compares each page against your own data: the median sessions and median conversion rate across your pages with real traffic. A page above the median on sessions and below it on conversion rate gets flagged.
What counts as a conversion?+
By default, GA4's own conversions metric, which is the sum of every key event on the property. You can narrow that to specific GA4 events in the conversion rules, and the briefs, the weekly digest and your reports then use that definition.
Is this a conversion rate optimization tool?+
It is the diagnosis and briefing half. WriteWorks finds the leaking pages, scans them and writes a conversion-focused brief that opens in the editor. It does not run A/B tests.
Do I need GA4 connected?+
Yes. The traffic and conversion signals all come from Google Analytics 4. Connect it once from the integrations hub and they appear in the opportunity queue.
